ICE Cracks Down On “Worst Of The Worst” Criminal Aliens Over Labor Day Weekend

As many Americans enjoyed the traditional barbecues, pool parties, and beach trips of Labor Day weekend, officers from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were actively engaged in a nationwide operation, arresting what authorities describe as “the worst of the worst” criminal illegal aliens.

The agency reported the apprehension of individuals with serious criminal records, including charges ranging from murder and aggravated assault to sexual abuse and drug trafficking.

The enforcement actions spanned various ICE field offices, resulting in significant arrests nationwide.

Among those apprehended by ICE Houston was Ricardo Duque-Rivas, an illegal alien from Mexico with a conviction for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Williamson County, TX.

In Chicago, ICE officers arrested Byron Ortega-Gonzalez, an illegal alien from El Salvador, whose criminal history includes a conviction for aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim less than 18 years old in Chicago, IL.

ICE Salt Lake City apprehended Luis Zamora-Rodriguez, an illegal alien from Mexico, previously convicted of attempted criminal homicide in Portland, OR.

Theophilis Anwana, an illegal alien from Nigeria with a conviction for second-degree rape in Bel Air, MD, was arrested by ICE Baltimore.

In Colorado, ICE Denver arrested Aymen Abdu, an illegal alien from Sudan, who is a registered sex offender with convictions for aggravated assault and indecent exposure in Arapahoe, CO.

ICE St. Paul arrested Blanca Garcia-Vazquez, an illegal alien from Mexico, whose record includes operating while intoxicated, public intoxication, and two counts of child endangerment in Polk County, IA.

ICE New York City arrested Juan Alfonso-Rodriguez, an illegal alien from Uruguay, with three convictions for DWI in Suffolk County, NY.

In Atlanta, ICE arrested Jimmy Hoang, an illegal alien from Vietnam, whose criminal history includes weapon offense, assault, attempted murder, and driving under the influence in Sioux City, IA.

Desideo Cuevas-Vallejo, an illegal alien from Mexico, with convictions for possession of a controlled substance and multiple DUIs in Blaine County, ID, was arrested by ICE Salt Lake City.

ICE San Antonio apprehended Daniel Ortega-Pineda, an illegal alien from Guatemala, convicted of smuggling of persons in Eagle Pass, TX.

Finally, ICE Dallas arrested Romero Guillen, an illegal alien from Honduras, with a conviction for hit and run death in New Hanover Superior Court, NC.

These arrests underscore ICE’s ongoing efforts to enforce immigration laws and prioritize the apprehension of non-citizens who pose a threat to public safety.
