A former sheriff’s deputy in Oklahoma is accused of raping an inmate during transport, according to authorities.
This week, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation announced the arrest of David Wayne Loman, 58. He was charged with sexual battery, forcible sodomy and engaging in a pattern of criminal offenses.
He was booked into jail, where his bail was set $25,000.
On April 12, 2022, the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office requested state investigators after allegations of sexual assault by a female who was being transported by Loman.
The unnamed inmate said that on April 7 she was assaulted three times at three different locations, according to the bureau.
Investigators looked into the claims and arrested Loman last week.
