Robbery crew targets men wearing Rolexes across NYC

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for robbery suspects wanted for targeting men for their Rolex watches in Queens, Manhattan and Brooklyn this month.

The first incident happened just before 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, when a 68-year-old man was exiting his parking garage located on 112th Street and 75th Avenue in Forest Hills.

According to police, the three suspects approached the man, displayed a firearm and demanded his property which included $500 and a Rolex watch valued at approximately $30,000.

The suspects fled the location in a dark colored SUV to parts unknown.

The suspects then punched the victim in the face and attempted to forcibly remove his watch. The suspects were unable to remove the watch and fled the location in a dark colored SUV.

The victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 23, a 46-year-old man was walking in front of 2130 McDonald Ave. in Gravesend.

The suspects fled the location on foot to parts unknown.
