The newest act of self-victimization has come just in time for Pride Month. In it, cities paint murals on roads and then cry “bigot” when someone dares to drive on them.
Liberal cities, in showing their solidarity with people celebrating who they have sex with, are painting rainbow flags on roads. If you are unaware, roads are things that people drive on, meaning they get marked up with tire tracks by various vehicles.

In the ultimate act of cry bully-ism, Spokane, Washington, is prosecuting three teenagers for leaving skid marks from Lime scooters on one of these “murals.” Prosecutors requested that one of the teenagers be held on $15,000 bond for this oh-so-heinous crime, and Lime reprogrammed its scooters to prevent them from operating around the painted road.
The problem hasn’t just popped up in Spokane, either. Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has dealt with bicyclists and drivers “vandalizing” similar painted roads in the past. This year, it was Delray Beach, Florida, that had such an incident, only for the city to report there was no evidence that the tire marks on the painted flag were intentional rather than, you know, the result of people driving on roads.

This is why real murals are painted on walls rather than roads. Even in the cases where these acts were intentional, the result comes from the fact that cities decided to put these “murals” on roads, if anything encouraging people to do exactly what they have done in Spokane or Fort Lauderdale so the city can then turn around and release a statement about how committed it is to Pride Month and how horrified it is that someone would leave skid marks on a road.
This is all a game of victimhood and an attempt to farm “hate crimes” to further a narrative and nothing more. City leaders know exactly what they are doing, and they are committed to it, even if it means jailing a few teenagers along the way for something that would be totally fine if they did it on any other street.
