In October 2021, Ms Littlejohn filed a lawsuit against the school district for parental rights violations.
The school denied claims they had not clearly communicated with Ms Littlejohn, and the case was dismissed by a judge in 2023.

Ms Littlejohn now volunteers for the organisation Do No Harm, which campaigns to keep identity politics out of healthcare.
Her daughter is now a 17-year-old college senior and is “doing very well”. However, she “still very much grieves the time that she lost during her adolescence to this ideology”.
“It stole two-and-a-half years of her life, of time when she should have been carefree and experiencing normal teenage activities,” she said.
