Proposed constitution change could result in Barack Obama vs Donald Trump in four years

Recent reports suggest that Donald Trump is reportedly seriously considering running for office for a fourth time in a row, and he is planning on putting plans in place to ensure he is legally able to do so.

According to Ogles himself, the amendment would “allow a president who serves non-consecutive terms to potentially run for a third term”. The 22nd Amendment currently states: “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of President more than once.”

Ogles argues that this needs to be changed to “undo” the damage done by the Biden administration, which he feels may take Trump 10 years.

However, what it would also mean, is that it would open the door for Barack Obama to potentially run again for a third time – after two successful terms.

While Obama has not expressed any interest in running again, the response he gets when he appears at public events like the Democratic National Convention show that there is still an awful lot of love for him in the US.

Perhaps the Democrats will fight fire with fire if Trump does plan on running again, and many feel Obama would be the most likely to beat him out of all of their current options.
