Laramie County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Wyoming Highway Patrol collaborated on a three-day operation last week targeting commercial truck drivers on county roads, leading to 40 pending deportations, authorities say.
Laramie County Sheriff Brian Kozak made the first public statement about the operation in a Friday video post to the agency’s Facebook page, which he said he took “at one of our hardworking points of entry.”

They performed 195 traffic stops.
And in those three days, they scooped up 40 illegal aliens. 44 trucks now stand idle, and one has to wonder what kind of cargo they were hauling. Were they trying to evade the point of entry because of the driver’s illegal status? Or was there something in the cargo? Both?
During those stops, WHP conducted 133 commercial vehicle inspections, placing 44 trucks and 38 drivers out of service.
Forty illegal aliens were in custody Friday awaiting deportation, Kozak added.

In other words, not people we want in the United States.
Having lived in the American West for three decades, I’m pretty familiar with the region. While Interstate 25 is the primary north-south artery in this area, with Interstate 80 being the east/west route, Laramie County shares a border with Colorado and is right on US Highway 287, which comes north from the Denver area and meets Interstate 80 in the city of Laramie.

The American West is full of these little highways and byways, and we feel certain that illegal aliens driving big rigs know about all of them. It’s an encouraging note that ICE knows about them as well and is working with local law enforcement to cover as many of these roads as possible. And, best of all, American truckers are helping, and nobody knows the nation’s roads better than they.
Editor’s Note: Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left’s lies, new legislation wasn’t needed to secure our border, just a new president.
