These attacks come after a man was stabbed in the back while waiting for a train on the Upper West Side Friday.

The 23-year-old was waiting on the northbound 1 train at 96th and Broadway around 7pm when a stranger plunged his blade into his back after the two had an argument.

There have now been four knife attacks on NYC subways this month.
Gov. Kathy Hochul pledged $77 million to keep NYPD cops in the subway system in 2026 Thursday.
Subway crime has dipped to its lowest level in 16 years and overall transit crime is 15% lower than it was in 2019, Hochul crowed.
