Fresno police are asking for the public’s help finding a man who brutally attacked and robbed a woman in central Fresno on Monday.
It happened at the intersection of Divisadero Street and Yosemite Avenue around 7:00 pm.
The disturbing attack was captured on video by a bystander.
In the video, the woman can be heard yelling for the attacker to stop. The two struggle as the suspect forcefully tries to pull a purse from her hands.
The suspect then yanks the bag away and then appears to hit the woman.
Investigators say the man took off with the victim’s purse and wallet, which had a couple of hundred dollars in them.
Police detectives were able to recover the items, but they’re still searching for the attacker.
