Biden regulating ‘wokeness’ and socialism into federal policy

With speed and secrecy, President Joe Biden is regulating “wokeness” into federal policy, forever making racial equity and diversity a top requirement of government programs and outcomes.

Where the simple benefits to the nation used to take priority in programs, Biden is changing that with a focus on social benefits, including racial equity and other “woke” payoffs, including a bow to sexual and racial minorities, according to a new analysis.

“Biden’s ‘whole of government’ equity agenda takes today’s progressive extremism to a new level,” Clyde Wayne Crews, vice president for policy of the Competitive Enterprise Institute, told Secrets.

“The ideals of the Constitution should have us aiming at treating citizens equally and preventing the sort of political predation we see in this agenda of enshrining differential treatment,” Crews said. “Limited government cannot survive this onslaught.”

With executive orders and policy plans, Crews found evidence everywhere of liberal equity policies being mingled into regulations.

He cited one example in focus today: Biden’s summit on commercial fusion energy. “Believe it or not, it contains an equity and diversity plank,” he told Secrets.

In his report on the issue, Crews unveiled several other examples of infusing equity and “social justice” into program requirements, which are likely to increase their prices.

Even in highways. “As agencies embed the equity agenda, new laws and regulations do as well. For example, Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has promised program-by-program equity-based allocation of ‘clean’ infrastructure funding, justified in part by the ‘racism that went into [prior] design choices,’” said the report.

And, he added, Biden’s idea of equity is the broadest definition possible.

“In a December 2021 update on [executive order] 13985, the administration boasted: ‘From the first day in office and every day since, the Biden-Harris administration has taken a historic approach to advancing racial equity, including directing every agency across the whole of the federal government to address the lasting impacts of systemic racism,’” said Crews.

“Equity in this framing does not mean equality of opportunity or equality before the law, but rather equality of outcomes,” he added.
