Culture, COVID-19, and the Constitution. These are three of the many areas where liberals want to divide America. In my opinion, they are part of a larger plan to impose Marxism on Americans.
Radicals hope to gain a political advantage off of division on cultural issues. So often, they resort to calling those who disagree with them racists, sexists, transphobes, Neanderthals, etc.—often regardless of the topic.
These radicals, and their allies in most of the mainstream media, immediately branded new Legislation signed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as the “Don’t Say Gay” law. But the word “gay” does not once appear in the seven-page bill that passed through both houses of the Florida state Legislature.
The new law says, “Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate.” The new law also says that schools “may not discourage or prohibit parental notification of and involvement in critical decisions affecting a student’s mental, emotional, or physical health or well-being.” Plus, parents must also have access to “education and health records created, maintained, or used by the school.”
During a segment of the TODAY Show, the star of Raven’s Home on the Disney Channel said, “I’m going to say this, and this is my thing: If there’s a ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, there should be a ‘Don’t Say Straight’ bill.” Little did she know it, but Raven-Symoné Christina Pearman actually made a point articulated by supporters of the new law. . It doesn’t say gay or straight. It says that young students should not be taught about sexual orientation or gender identity, period.
Sadly, I believe that the objective of many liberals these days is to divide one group of Americans against another. These are classic Marxist tactics.
The three founders of Black Lives Matter or BLM have been seen on video, revealing that they are trained Marxist organizers. These ideas failed previously in America because we are not a class-based society.
Increasingly, it appears that their objective is to replace class warfare with the division based on race, sex, and gender. These types of techniques have initially been effective in promoting socialism and Communism in other countries. In the end, history shows a long pattern of failure from societies that adopt these flawed policies.
Power to the people became power to the elite and poverty for the people. Venezuela went from one of the wealthiest countries in the hemisphere to a place where nine out of ten live in poverty. Communists in Cuba promised a people’s revolution, but up until a year ago, the minimum wage was $17 per month. And protests over the lack of access to COVID-19 vaccines are a reminder that government-run health care does not translate to quality health care.
Radicals push division to distract from these failures. Never was this more apparent than during COVID-19. Those who put their faith in the government used the global pandemic as an excuse to grab more power. Those who raised concerns were labeled as science deniers.
Now, the Biden administration is preparing to end Title 42, which was established to quickly expel migrants at the border due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the same, they continue to force Americans to wear masks on domestic flights. The scientific inconsistencies leave one to wonder if they are more about maintaining control than public health concerns.
Then there is the issue of liberals claiming the U.S. Constitution is somehow a flawed and outdated document. Plus, during Senate hearings on Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, she was asked by U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, “Do you hold a position on whether individuals possess natural rights, yes or no?” Judge Jackson responded, “I do not hold a position on whether individuals possess natural rights.”
What a remarkable statement. The Declaration of Independence states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” How can someone serve on the Supreme Court of the United States if they do not have an opinion about the founding document of our beloved nation? It wasn’t that long ago that Americans shared a common opinion on the Declaration of Independence regardless of partisan preference. Sadly, this appears to be another victim of the division pushed by the left.
We must fight these divisions. Our message is clear. We love America. Whether you are young or old, rich or poor, black or white, born here or came here legally, we want you to have the same freedom and opportunity we inherited from past generations. That is a true message of unity.
